This condensed second edition, self-published by first-time author Frank, was meticulously compiled to help daughter Gabrielle conquer spelling challenges. Although perfect-bound, the book's pages are printed longways and best navigated flip-style. One-line entries are alphabetized: bold-faced correct spellings appear amid a greater number of phonetic spellings. Although an excellent concept, the phonetic spellings sometimes reflect a highly individualized experience of a word's sound and do not account for regional accents. Still, an inspiring personal story.

I've searched far and wide for a book like this...

I'm not usually one to leave reviews however I had to on this occasion. I recently purchased this book for my boyfriend whom is dyslexic and this book has helped him incredibly. Some days he can spell perfectly however some days he may get the letters muddled round when trying to spell a word and this dictionary means that he can find the correct word even though he has mispelled it. This is such a great idea as so many people suffer with dyslexia and its hidden treasures like this book that will make lives easier. Thank you to the author for creating such a book as I have tried to find something like this for a very long time.

Hard to read and figure out, not all words and spellings are in the book understandably because it would be massive, but it's too complicated for my 8 year old to use who is dyslexic
