Feeling great on the plan!

I bought this book at my chiropractor's office, and have been doing the advanced plan for over a month now. I am feeling great, and feel that this is the first "diet" that I can stick to for the rest of my life, and isn't that what a good diet should be, a permanent lifestyle change? I have been a yo-yo dieter throughout my adult life, but never sticking with a permanent change, and thus regaining the weight that I worked so hard to lose. At first I went through sugar withdrawal, which took a couple of weeks, but now I'm no longer craving it. I am losing weight, slowly but surely, and my appetite has normalized. The thing I like best, though, about this plan is I don't feel deprived and hungry all the time, like I've felt on other diets. Every meal is to be balanced with a protein, good fat, and carbohydrates...with this combination, I'm satisfied for several hours, and I'm finding that the longer I'm following the plan, that my energy levels are improving every day. My chiropractor has shown us just how easy it can be to follow the "Maximized Living" plan...I drink a smoothie every morning now, made with coconut milk, almond milk, berries, and whey protein powder, and it sustains me for hours. I've also learned that I can throw in some spinach or kale in the blender, and can't even taste it, so I'm getting that extra nutrition as well. I've found good quality organic coconut milk online, as well as at Whole Foods. I never wanted to be a vegetarian (although I don't criticize anyone who wants that lifestyle), and so, for lunch I've been eating a nice salad with homemade dressing (usually extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, a clove of garlic, and a spice mixture), avocado, and some type of meat on it, and again I'm satisfied for several hours. At dinner, I usually throw in some steamed or roasted vegetables as well. (I love roasted Brussels sprouts!) Simple, simple, simple! As far as meats go, I have switched to grass-fed beef, organic chicken, and wild-caught fish, like salmon...I'm staying away from pre-processed foods, and I'm simply amazed by the difference it is all making! So, in summary, if you're looking for a simple plan that you can make a permanent and pretty much painless lifestyle change, I highly recommend "Maximized Living Nutrition Plans"!

Never read another Food-based book again!

This book destroys all conventional thinking in the diet-research circles. This book unrelentingly hammers out its simple, basic fundamentals, in an easy-to-understand way that will have make you experience "EUREKA!" moments over and over.

This book tells you the dangers of the modern food industry, how we have all been fooled into thinking some things are healthy when they are the opposite, and more. I am a research junkie, and this book is the #1 recommendation I have for ANYONE from ANY WALK of life who wants to learn about health and nutrition, and how it affects them.

To be clear: This is not a Diet book. This is a nutritional guide that tells you what to cut out, and what to bring into your meals, to fully recover your health and balance your hormonal system. Losing weight is simply a by-product that happens all by itself. And you will lose weight, because this book teaches you how to make your body use fat as a fuel instead of sugar.

The book is overpriced on Amazon for some unknown reason. You can research out "Maximized Living Nutrition Plans" and find their website and order from there directly for under $25.

If you don't buy this book, you are doing your health a grave injustice.

When I am reading, I will typically keep a highlighter handy to highlight sentences and info that I want to find again because I consider it critical. In this case, I am using a pink highlighter. Well, my book is starting to look like leafs of cotton candy, because I am highlighting critical information on almost every page.

There is no wasted space in this book. Every sentence is pertinent. Give your other "diet" books away and buy this.

Great help

This book is great for anyone who is seriously wanting to get control of their health. Not only does it tell you what you need to know to get healthy, but it also has wonderful recipes in the back to help you on your journey. I have been on this diet for 5 weeks now and can honestly say I feel better than I have in years.
